Absolutely loved the delicious flavors of koobideh, zad kebab, and falafel at this place compared to others, plus they offer a generous 5% student discount! The ambiance was great, and they had a banner where if your number matched the ones listed, you could get a free meal.
Despite the good reviews, my family and I had a bad experience with Zaad today. I made an order for a mixed family platter ( chicken and beef);1- the plate doesn’t look like the picture at all, the tray is not full with the sandwich cuts and we had 3 cuts that lacked beef or chicken, just bread? So it was basically 2 ehawarma wraps that were included in the “family platter”, the rest of the cuts were just bread.2- the portion of the fries included in the platter was ridiculously small, it wasnt even the amount of fries u’d get if you ordered one combo! And no sauces were included as well, vs other shawarma places3- I asked to pick up by 6 and called to confirm the time before heading towards the restaurant. However, When I arrived, no one was aware of my order and i had to wait extra for it to be done. For the taste, its pretty basic for the price and the portion of food that you get, nothing tasty or special enough to make me come back for more.I had high expectations for this place but I was a disappointed customer
I had a delightful experience at Zad shawarma place! Mohamed service was outstanding, with a helpful and cheerful smile. From the warm welcome to the attentive assistance, him and Fashita they truly made my visit enjoyable. The shawarma was delicious, and the overall atmosphere added to the positive experience. Highly recommended!
Absolute gems when it comes to the staff and owner, and best shawarma in downtown Toronto.
The restaurant should reconsider their values and participation in the program “too good to go” that helps to fight food waste.I ordered through the app “too good to go” to get a meal that could potentially go to waste in a reduced value. The value of food received should be 21$ and I pay 7 dollars to make sure the food doesn’t go to waste.First of all, once I entered and was asked if I am picking up or ordering and I said I was getting order from “too good to go”, the attitude changed to careless and not nice. Apparently, you are not a customer anymore if you order through this app.Additionally, the food that I got was wayyyy below the promised 21$ dollar value, I wouldn’t pay even 7$ for it. If you claim you are fighting food waste as a company, do so at least properly given what you promise to people. It seems that your restaurant wants to make business even out of food waste, trying to sell food that would go to waste for over its original value.Wouldn’t recommend buying from this company whose ethics are so low and customer service is so bad.
Spectacular! Really a great surprise – the chef and staff are amazingly friendly and kind, respect and all the best! 🦊♥️
Comfortable, good food, legit. The service always top tier with friendly staff and occasional free samples/soups. I’ve always had a good experience here.
One of the best shawarma and Saj places I’ve tried. Totally affordable for the generous quantity. 100 percent recommended!
